Simple trick hold down home button and quickly depress the power button and it neatly takes a screen shot of the screen and puts it into photo. A short post but a neat one .

I find this feature particularly useful on my iPod touch as I can capture maps of places that I am going to when connected to a wi-fi network and can access them later when off line.
